Angela started her career in the IT Consulting field in 1999 with a Kansas City based IT staffing firm. She learned all aspects of Information Technology, from the most popular operating systems, databases and programming languages, to the tools that were used to make business and systems analysts and project managers a success. From there, she transitioned to putting her skills to the test for national firms and finally made her way into Solutions based selling. As a result of that experience, she learned what it really meant to solve business problems for her client partners, not just treat the issue.
Over the past 11 years, Angela has learned many things, but the key tenet of her business philosophy is that relationships matter. Service matters. People matter. She has built Veracity Solutions on the true meaning of the word “veracity,” which is most aptly defined by the words honesty, integrity and truthfulness. As a result of her commitment to this philosophy, she’s managed to build long lasting relationships, as well as friendships, with her clients as well as with her consultants. A life long athlete, she’s a true believer in teamwork and realizes that your firm is only as good as the team who delivers your services and, therefore, your message. Angela has a long track record of hiring employees who have the same values and more as those of the company in general, and the result is a finely-tuned team of talented, dedicated and committed professionals – on every project, every time. That formula has proven to be a recipe for success, given Veracity’s work with a myriad of Fortune 500 companies, state government entities as well as a number of not-for-profit groups.
When she’s not working, she’s either golfing, playing rugby, tennis, running marathons or something else wild – she knows no fear when it comes to sports and in Angela’s world, the more competitive, the better. And as a single mom, she’s rarely without her son, and her biggest fan, right by her side, cheering her on. And these days, it’s not unusual that the tables are turned and that Angela is rooting for her son as he plays basketball and a myriad of other sports, following in his mom’s athletic footsteps. When she’s not playing sports, Angela loves travel, spending time with her amazing family, hanging out with friends, great food and wine and just enjoying life in general.
Linda joined the Veracity team in March of 2010, after literally years of being stalked by Angela at every turn. She has spent her career working with powerhouse IT consulting firms like Andersen Consulting and Midwest Consulting Group, and has long been recognized for her outstanding abilities when it comes to consumer interaction. When you pair that with her analytical mind, her operational and systems development expertise and her savvy head for financials, she’s a dream come true for the Veracity team.
When she’s not making us smarter, more detail oriented and more successful, she loves things like travel, fitness, being outdoors every chance she gets, spending time with her husband and taking in any stray that is lucky enough to cross her path. Oh, and let us not forget to mention food – she is a first-class chef in her own right and has been known to spend many an hour in her kitchen, whipping up not only amazing fare for her family, but catering for others as a part-time diversion.
Larry C. Marshall - Sr. Vice President of Solutions Development
We consider Larry our company Swiss Army knife, as his experience never fails Veracity regardless of the challenge presented. Affectionately known as “No, the other Marshall” (no relationship to Linda much to their spouses relief!), Larry joined us in June of 2011.
His professional background runs the gamut of multi-billion dollar management/technology consulting acumen of Accenture to leading a small entrepreneurial financial company in Overland Park. Equally comfortable managing multi-million dollar efforts to examining minute details of an RFP, Larry’s “can do” attitude and complex problem solving skills drive positive business results for our clients. Given his role as VP of Solutions Development and Veracity’s recent award of the SBA 8a certification, Larry will ensure we will expand our client base without sacrificing our commitment to the clients who have helped us get to where we are.
Beyond his day to day Superman efforts, Larry’s lovely wife and three children have his focus. In between times at the various children sport venues, Larry enjoys running with his wife and making the most of the Midwest’s countryside; spending time hunting and managing conservation efforts.
Amy Krohn – Solutions Architect
Amy joined the Army Signal Corps in 1998 and it was there that she discovered her love of troubleshooting and the importance of technology, specifically, field communications. Her education began with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and then continued in the military with technical training from GTE. From there, she returned to college with Computer Science into an MBA program to learn more about the impact of IT in business. To say that Amy regularly seeks new challenges is a massive understatement.
Amy’s experience ranges from IT to Operational Support to Enterprise Architecture. In fact, her expertise is best described as a Recon Ranger in the IT arena.
She has worked with businesses of all sizes allowing the return on investment to drive the plan to support the specific business. Her passion for her work drives the determination to quickly assess, develop a plan, identify key resources and implement with the end-state in mind. Amy is goal focused and enjoys helping others, both in the workplace and in life, which allows for a direct path to success. She is a perfect complement to our team at Veracity Solutions, where teamwork, personal and professional growth and excellence are embraced.
When she’s not working, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and she is also an athlete. She is currently training for a marathon, as well as competing in the fascinating world of adventure racing.
Mike Talbot - Delivery Manager
Mike Talbot is old enough to have worked with the very first release of Microsoft Access – but we try and keep that to ourselves. Talbot is a Solutions Architect, a SQL developer and a DBA. While he is good at many things, Database work has always been his first love. Along the way, he added .NET development to his arsenal of skills and during the course of the last 15 years has either been developing or leading development teams for Fortune 500 companies. He’s worked in the Transportation, Food Distribution, Telecom, Healthcare, Alternative Energy and Non-Profit sectors and his clients have been and are located all across the United States. In early 2008, Mike left a Technology Director position to begin managing Business Solutions development for Veracity and has worked to expand our professional service offerings, all the while offering clients outstanding levels of service and support. He is currently leading our team to deliver a large Data Transformation project for a branch of the federal government. Mike is also trained as a certified sales person for Infoblox the industry leader in IP management, DNS and DHCP provisioning.
People who work with Mike instantly see why he’s such an integral part of the Veracity team. He’s committed to always delivering the highest levels of customer service and is the guy who literally wakes up in the morning thinking about solving our clients’ problems – usually before they even occur. He’s an avid college basketball fan and can be found chanting “Rock Chalk, Jayhawk” during the season, cheering on his beloved Kansas team. You can follow Mike on Twitter
